Welcome to Savya. This Privacy Policy explains how Savya LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using Savya, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our personalized lifestyle and dining curation, we collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Information: When you join our waitlist, request support, or create an account, we may collect identifiable information such as your name and email address.
  • Dietary and Lifestyle Data (Taste Profile): To curate recommendations, we collect data you voluntarily provide regarding your taste preferences, dietary restrictions, food allergies, and health goals.
  • Input Data: We collect the URLs, images, or text of the restaurant menus you scan or input into the Service.
  • Usage and Device Data: We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with our Service using analytics providers.
  • Security and Anti-Abuse Data: When you submit a form on our website, we record the IP address the submission came from and a verification token issued by our bot-protection provider. We use this only to tell genuine visitors apart from automated abuse, and to limit how often a single source may submit.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, specifically to analyze restaurant menus and recommend dishes.
  • To communicate with you, including sending waitlist updates and responding to support requests.
  • To monitor usage patterns to improve the user experience and our algorithms.

3. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

Savya is an AI-powered lifestyle tool. To provide instant recommendations, your Input Data and relevant Dietary and Lifestyle Data are transmitted to and processed by third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) service providers.

  • Data Minimization: We strive to separate your personal identifying information from the dietary and menu data sent to our AI partners.
  • Third-Party Vendors: We utilize trusted third-party services for database hosting, email routing, and analytics. These providers may only use your data as necessary to provide their services to us.
  • Advertising and Measurement: We advertise Savya on Meta's platforms (Facebook and Instagram). When you arrive from one of those ads, the Meta pixel on our website reports back that you visited and whether you joined the waitlist, so we can measure which ads work and stop paying for the ones that don't. This is limited to page views and the fact that a form was completed — never the contents of your Taste Profile, your allergies, or anything you scan. We enable Meta's Limited Data Use setting where it is legally required.
  • Bot Protection (Cloudflare Turnstile): Our website uses Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm that form submissions come from a person rather than an automated script. Turnstile runs invisibly and may collect information about your device and browser behavior in order to make that assessment. Cloudflare processes that information as described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum. It is used for security purposes only: Turnstile does not profile you and is not used for advertising.

4. Medical and Allergy Disclaimer

Savya is a lifestyle tool, not a medical device. While we allow you to input food allergies and health goals to filter menu recommendations, you acknowledge that:

  1. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of restaurant menus, ingredients, or food preparation methods.
  2. We cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur at a restaurant.
  3. You are solely responsible for verifying the safety of any food or beverage with the restaurant staff before consuming it.

5. Data Security & Retention

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

7. European Union (GDPR) Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have specific data protection rights. Savya LLC acts as the Data Controller of your personal data. Our legal basis for collecting and using your data is to perform our contract with you (providing the Service) and your explicit consent (for processing health/dietary data).

You have the right to:

  • Access, update, or delete the information we have on you.
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Object / Restrict: Object to our processing of your data or request we restrict it.
  • Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent at any time where we relied on it to process your info.

8. California (CCPA/CPRA) Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you specific rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Know: You can request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you over the past 12 months.
  • Right to Delete: You can request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell your personal information to any third party, for money or otherwise. We do share limited advertising data with Meta as described in Section 3 — under the CCPA/CPRA that counts as “sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising,” so we say so plainly rather than rely on the fact that no money changes hands. You may opt out at any time: visit our Support Page at getsavya.com/support, choose “Other,” and write “Do Not Share My Personal Information.”
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
